Kattegattleden starts – or finish es – in one of the Nordic region’s oldest cities, Helsingborg. The first stretch takes you from the city centre to Gröningen and Fria bad, two popular bathing spots that offer sun, sea and ice cream. Sit and relax a while, be cause you’ll soon come to the first uphill stretch of the path. Slightly further on is Sofiero Palace and
Sofiero Farm, with bakery and café that are well worth a visit.

BIKES ON TRAINS AND BUSES You can take your bike on the train if space permits, but not on SJ:s trains. Regional buses have bike holders and will take bikes if space permits. To find out the travel conditions that apply and if you need a bicycle ticket, read more at hallandstrafiken.se , skanetrafiken.se and vasttrafik.se .
PRACTICAL INFORMATION In Helsingborg, Kattegattleden starts and/or ends at Helsingborg C – where the train station, ferry terminal and long term car park are located.
OPENING HOURS Remember to check the opening times of the visitor destinations and facilities you intend to visit and ideally book your accommo dation in advance!
